What Educators are Saying
"Lucas has always been a diligent and focused student! He is also able to produce an alternative solution to a question and explain his thought process well."
Mrs Ee, Mathematics Teacher (SAJS)
"Lucas is a quiet boy who prefers to work independently, always striving to complete his tasks to the best of his ability. As a servant leader, he exemplifies respect and consideration for others, supporting his peers with a thoughtful and humble approach. His dedication and quiet strength make him a respected and reliable figure in any group."
Mdm Nora, Co-Form Teacher (SAJS)
"Lucas always has a positive and proactive attitude in his Chinese studies. He eagerly participates in each lesson and shows a great ability to understand and solve problems. Lucas works hard to express himself clearly and accurately. His dedication has led to impressive progress in his oral skills. I believe Lucas will continue to excel in his future academic efforts."
Ms Lin, Chinese Teacher (Yi Dian Tong)
"Lucas Ang has been a student at Maths Heuristics since 2022, when he was in P4. For math, he often goes above and beyond in seeking to understand the first principles behind the question. This genuine curiousity, along with preseverance, has been the catalyst of his growth in mathematical logic. What's more important, is his ability to apply these logical problem solving skills creatively. This is why, even without formal Math Olympiad training, he is able to achieve several significant awards. I am happy to have been part of his learning journey"
Mr Kevin Huang, Teacher (Math Heuristics)
Mathematical Olympiads
Without formal training, I utilize the extensive resources available on the internet to understand concepts and improve my skills. I enjoy exploring a wide array of materials both online and offline. This approach has helped me make significant improvements, especially at the Olympiads, where I've been fortunate to achieve several notable awards. I look forward to continuing to hone my skills and obtain even better results in the Math Olympiad arena!

Music - Violin
I enjoy making tunes on my violin, both solo and with my peers. Practising the violin daily teaches me how consistent effort over time can lead to significant improvements!
Fun fact: I practise on the violin for approximately 20 minutes each day, accumulating a total practice time of around 25,550 minutes so far!

SAJS Saints Value Awards
Values help me become a better person, and I try to follow them every day. Being kind, honest, and understanding makes me treat others well and be a positive influence in my community. I believe if everyone lived by these values, the world would be a nicer place where everyone can be happy and do well.

Volunteering
I have been volunteering with my mother at the Touch Community Services since 2020. As a volunteer with the Meals-On-Wheels programme, we pack and deliver meals to the clients. I love greeting and asking them to enjoy their meals, the smiles on their faces make all the hard work worthwhile! I also look forward to beach clean-ups after PSLE!
